Oxfam Cymru

UX/UI and web development for the Race To Zero Campaign page.

The Project Brief

Oxfam approached Yellow Sub Creative to build a campaign page to support their initiative for local authorities to join the global Race to Zero, following in the footsteps of a successful campaign in Denmark.

This campaign page formed part of the invitation that would be issued publicly to urge all Local Authorities to commit to joining Race to Zero as their COP27 commitment.

We were asked to use the Race to Zero Branding guidelines while also maintaining and displaying Wales’ national values.

The Yellow Sub Approach

After researching other Race to Zero campaigns around the world, deep diving into Race to Zero branding, and a workshop with our clients, we finally got down to designing using our favourite collaborative tool, Figma.

The main challenge was to keep the pages inspirational, attractive, and interesting to the Welsh audience. We leaned on photography to achieve this.

Oxfam Cymru worked with Melin and the Yellow Sub Creative team to bring our Race to Zero Cymru campaign website into reality. The team worked brilliantly with our diverse steering group, acting as trusted critical friends to bring this vision to life. It was a silver lining to know that they also aligned to our climate justice values as a certified B Corp. We will definitely be recommending them to our partners.

Project Outcome

The campaign page grew from one page to be a whole website. We loved the process of nurturing and growing the website content with the team and are looking forward to seeing the rest of the campaign unfold.
